Emergency Notifications

General

In the event of a campus emergency, CVCC will notify the campus through a variety of systems/methods.  Those methods will include the following:

  • fire alarms in the case of fire or other evacuation requirment,

  • Alertus devices that emit a sound and flashing lights,

  • campus computers/desktops alerts,

  • TV monitors display message,

  • on-campus blue light phones that can also broadcast the emergency voice message and,  

CVCC will also send notification through the e2Campus text-messaging system.

Text messaging (requires you to activate an account)

The e2Campus text-messaging system is an instant-messaging system that provides emergency information such as closings and delays on personal mobile devices and computers.  Individuals wishing to receive emergency text notifications must enroll in the service at the e2Campus registration page at:
